Decision to take strict action against those who shoot laser light on planes


It has been decided to take strict action against those who target planes with laser light in Karachi.

An emergency meeting of the Environmental Control Committee was held at Karachi Airport under the chairmanship of the Airport Manager to protect aircraft from birds and laser lights in Karachi.

The meeting was attended by representatives of airlines, PAF, Army, ATC, Vigilance, Local Government, and other airport stakeholders including the police.

The airport manager was instructed to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the runway and adjacent areas and it was decided that strict action would be taken with police cooperation against those who target aircraft with laser light.

According to the airport manager, a meeting was held with all the towns' SHOs to prevent laser light incidents, and the progress on the implementation of the decisions of the safety committee meeting was also reviewed.
