The number of people who died during a suspicious operation in the Mari Jalbani area of Skarund rose to five. Imam Deen, who was injured in the firing, died while being transferred to Karachi.
Three Rangers and one policeman were injured due to resistance during the joint operation of Police and Rangers in Mari Jalbani near Nawabshah Skrand.
Custodian Interior Minister Sindh Haris Nawaz says that the law enforcement agencies took action on the information about the presence of the accused in Skarund.
The officials also retaliated. In the exchange of fire, two suspects were killed while five were injured. According to the Sindh Interior Minister, four rangers and police personnel were also injured in the firing by the accused.
Residents of the area are protesting against the incident on the Skarund National Highway. The Jalbani community has been holding a dharna on the Skarund national highway. Negotiations with the district administration of the protestors are also going on for the past fourteen hours.
On the other hand, the Chairman Pakistan People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his concern over the incident and demanded a transparent investigation from the caretaker provincial government. Protests were also held in Matiari and Khairpur by blocking the road.
